JCCV Recognition Community Awards. Mrs Catherine Chachoua has been awarded the JCCV Recognition Community Award. She has over a period of 25 years looked after the welfare and the well being of the elderly members of the Sephardi Association of Victoria. She has single handedly organised all of their weekly activities, birthdays and anniversaries. When sick she has visited them at home or in hospital. In the synagogue she has been solely responsible for the weekly catering of the kiddushim, festival meals, and special events. Over the years she has pledged and personally raised thousands of dollars on behalf of the synagogue and the Association. It’s because of a person like her that the Association has continued to progress. Congregants are requested to purchase tickets (see attached flyer) in order to support this special and big event. |
